One of the best features of our condos are thier location. You really do have the best of both worlds. The condos are away from the crowds, but you still have the option of traveling to Honolulu and Waikiki for a day of shopping and sightseeing. When you return, you will find the uncrowded beach and the ocean waiting for you.

WATER
There is nothing like the ocean right in front of our condos. Whether you decide to try to surf, boogie board, snorkel or just watch others as you sun on the beach, you have it all. And best of all, you don't have to fight the crowds. In fact, if you decide to go for an early morning walk, you may find that you are the only one on the beach! Below you will find information about other nearby beaches.
MAKAHA BEACH Just one beach to the North of the Hawaiian Princess is Makaha Beach where the International Long Board Surfing Championship takes place each winter.
YOKOHAMA BAY A Short drive to the north from the Princess will take you to Yokohama Bay and the end of the road. Bottlenose and Spinner Dolphins can be spotted feeding in the waters off the shore. On the way back, stop by Makua Cave which is just off the side of the road.
HANAUMA BAY If you want to see fish Hanama Bay is a must. The ancient volcanic crater is one of the most popular attractions on the island. It is about a 90 minute drive from the Princess. Plan on traveling early in the morning to get a parking spot.
GOLF
KO OLINA GOLF CLUB The beautiful Marriott Ko Olina Golf Club is about 10 miles from the Hawaiian Princess. It is one of Oahu's premier golf courses. This course designed by Ted Robinson has hosted both the Senior PGA and the LPGA. Proper dress attire which includes collared shirts is required for this course. After a round of golf, dine at the club's fine restaurant, Niblicks.
MAKAHA VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB The magnificent Makaha Valley Country Club lies on the eastern slopes of Makaha Valley just up the road from the Hawaiian Princess. It was constructed on a former ranch and offers spectacular views of the mountain and ocean. The trade winds and cries of the peacocks add to the ambience of this magical setting
DINING
Perhaps the finest dining experience anywhere on Oahu is on your own lanai. After all, there is no better view anywhere on the island. Enjoy dinner cooked on the gas grills in the picnic area as you watch the sun set over the ocean. If however, you decide to dine out, there are several choices in the Makaha area.

SHOPPING
The Makaha area has one small mall nearby as well as a drug store and several grocery stores. The basics are readily available in the area, but for a real day of shopping, you will need to travel to the city which is less than an hour away. As a tourist you will want to visit the following "Shop till you drop" places.
THE ALA MOANA CENTER This mall is Hawaii's biggest shopping center. It is located near Waikiki at 1450 Ala Moana Blvd. It hosts 230 stores—including Neiman Marcas and Macy's. There are also more than 50 dining choices and free local entertainment.
THE ROYAL HAWAIIAN SHOPPING CENTER Newly Remodeled and conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center is perfect place to enjoy the day in Waikiki. There are over 110 shops and restaurants on three blocks of Kalakaua Avenue. Besides the many shops and restarants there is complimentary cultural enrichment classes including ukulele, lei-making, hula, or Hawaiian quilting.
THE ALOHA STADIUM SWAP MEET If you are looking for souvenirs or trinkets for family and friends then this is the place to go. Where else could you get ten tee shirts for $20.00? Most vendors sell new items. The swap meet is held every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.
THE WINDWARD MALL If you are staying on the North Shore and don't want to travel over the mountain, the Windward Mall in Kaneohe has a variety of shops and restuarants as well as theaters.
WAIKELE PREMIUM OUTLET This outlet mall of more than 50 stores is located on the leeward side of the island.
THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET PLACE This outdoor shopping favorite is built around 100 year old banyan trees. Vendors sell a variety of goods. HINT: Never pay full price for anything. The vendors expect to bargain and will usually adjust the price by 50% or more

Many people would not think a trip to Hawaii complete without a cruise or fishing trip. The following will give you a few ideas of where to go to find the best boat trip for you. You can also book a helicopter tour by following the links below.
FISHING You will probably notice that often there are many boats out in the deep water in front of the Hawaiian Princess. That is because some of the best fishing on Oahu is right in front of the condo. If you would like to try your luck at catching a tuna or Mahi Mahi, the Waianae Harbor is just down the road. There you will be able to book your big adventure.
CRUISES There are several dinner cruises that are available from the docks near Waikiki. These cruises start at about $25.00. Dinner and entertainment is usually included. These cruises usually take you out in front of Waikiki for another view of the city. There is usually plenty of room, but you may want to plan a couple of days in advance. Be sure to allow plenty of time to drive to the city. Also, a Dolphin Cruise sighting cruise passes by the Princess daily. It is a must for anyone wanting to see the best of the sea life along the leeward coast.
HELICOPTER TOURS Perhaps the best way to see Oahu is by helicopter. You can find several companies that offer this breathtaking option. The biggest helicopter touring company in Hawaii is Blue Hawaii Helicopter Tours. They will teach you about the history and culture of the region as well as show you Hawaii from the air.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Of course there are many other things to do on Oahu. The number one tourist attraction is the Polynesian Cultural Center. Here you can learn about the culture and traditions of the people of the South Pacific. Also, what trip to paradise is complete without the traditional luau? Paradise Cove is considered Hawaii's best place for a luau and it located just a short drive from the Princess. You may want to take an Eco tour, kayak or mountain bike. Whatever you choose on your visit to Oahu, you will be happy to return to the peace and serenity of the Leeward side of the Island and the true spirit of Aloha at the Hawaiian Princess at Makaha Beach!
